My intern experience at Trineo

February 24, 2021

I can’t believe that my time here is already over.  It was the best internship experience ever!!

Since my first day on Nov 19th 2020, I have loved being here and working with such GENIUS people around me. I can still remember on my first day when everybody offered to help at every opportunity and introduced themselves. I could see that everyone was as excited as I was to meet each other. And throughout these three months, the same level of energy followed through. Everyone always made time to teach and support me and I thank you so much for that, it has been really helpful.

I also want to thank Summer of Tech (SOT) for helping me get this wonderful internship. I was just about to complete my Masters and wanted to exploit my knowledge and was looking for internships that would help me do so. That is when I came across Trineo and the role of a Salesforce developer. It seemed like a perfect fit and I had wanted to learn about Salesforce and hence when the chance came I didn’t hesitate to take it up. The application process was different and interesting, it took almost 3-4 rounds but each of them had their purpose.

Trineo’s interview process was the most intriguing one I have attended as they started off with a puzzle question and then we had 4 rounds of different aspects which tested our technical, analytical, reasoning and behavioural abilities. When I read up about Trineo, I decided then that I had to work there as their values and ethics appealed to me instantly. It was the ideal work life culture that I wanted.

This being my first proper corporate environment that I have worked in, it has simply been AMAZING. All the people here have always been super understanding and encouraging. I’m so lucky to have had the opportunity to work here. Every single person here upholds the company’s values, and it makes it all the difference.

When I first came here, I did not have much knowledge on Salesforce and now I think it's safe to say I know something about it. Working on the internal tooling project was really fun, playing around with old code and learning how to use the Salesforce platform and integrate it, it’s been a wonderful journey so far. The project was an internal initiative that I worked on to improve the performance efficiency of employees by removing double entry of data that goes to two different systems. Special shot-out to my team for simply being the best and guiding me along.

I feel sad to say goodbye but I have really enjoyed my first internship experience! My time here has been awesome, I have learned so many things and not only about Salesforce but so much more. I will definitely miss all the Friday evening drinks, schnacks and hot choc and also maybe you guys a bit too. I can definitely say my Crokinole skills have improved and it was a major part of my intern rather than testing code. I definitely do hope to come back in the future if/when the opportunity arises, till then I bid you farewell, my Trineo fam!

Thank you so much for having me as your intern. Will miss you guys a lot!
